In “Stillness Speaks,” Eckhart Tolle writes:
“When you completely accept this moment, when you no longer argue with what is, the compulsion to think lessens and is replaced by an alert stillness. You are fully conscious, yet the mind is not labeling this moment in any way. This state of inner nonresistence opens you to the unconditioned consciousness that is infinitely greater than the human mind. This vast intelligence can then express itself through you and assist you, both from within and from without. That is why, by letting go of inner resistance, you often find circumstances change for the better.”
What is stillness saying to you when you allow yourself to accept the present moment?
What is the calling, the nudge, the thing left to let go of?
Perhaps this message coincides with the super full moon Tuesday night–the full moon always shedding light on what we need to let go of–that energy that seems to be intensifying right now, as if to say: People, this will be over soon and life will ultimately return to a regular pace. Leave no stone unturned. What else is there to be done? What else do you want to do with your life during this time?
Operating under the premise that if that truly is the point, the message in this whole challenging, precious pause, then today, decide three things you want to include, accomplish, and/or let go of in your life over this next week.
Maybe it’s finishing that yard project,
having a Zoom party with your cousins or friends,
finishing that book,
having more fun with your family so that everyone is off technology for a little while each day and gathers in the living room to watch a movie, documentary or mindless TV, or
maybe, just maybe, you decide to jump from the plane and let go of negativity and fear.
Whatever you decide, look to your moments to light the way.
When resistance comes up, as it inevitably will in order to present you with an opportunity for growth and change, stay still for a moment; let your irritability, your resistance, fall like a sheet and face whatever it is you need or want to do.
Then smile at your gremlins and choose growth, choose change, choose higher,
trusting and have faith that your life just might change for the better once you do.

All good things,
