Jill Sylvester

Jill Sylvester is an award-winning author who writes about the same thing she’s spent her career studying: how to trust yourself.

She’s the author of the Nautilus Award-winning Trust Your Intuition series, the Mom’s Choice Award-winning young adult novel The Land of Blue, and the Planting the Seeds product line for parents and teachers. Her books have been featured in Well+Good, Bustle, SheKnows, Working Mother, and OprahMag.com.

Jill is also a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC, M.Ed.) with 20+ years of clinical experience helping people of all ages move through anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. That background shapes her writing — a real understanding of what it takes to feel seen and validated, versus diagnosed and dismissed. Her style, on the page or in the counseling session, is relaxed, direct, and genuinely invested in your growth.

Jill lives in Massachusetts with her husband and bulldog, close to her adult children. When she’s not reading or writing, she’s usually in the garden or kitchen — grounding herself in the same everyday moments she writes about.
